What is the problem?

The human body lacks adequate alkalinity. Meat, dairy, and eggs are slightly alkaline (above pH 7) before it enters the body but become acid-forming in the body. This effect is measured using the PRAL score. The PRAL (Potential Renal Acid Load) score estimates how much acid or alkaline a food contributes to the body’s acid–alkaline balance after metabolism. Our blood maintains a tightly regulated pH of about 7.35, and a shift of just ±0.5 can be life-threatening. In cases of osteoporosis, the body draw calcium from the bones to help stabilize blood pH around 7.35. This principle applies to many diseases and health conditions. What is the solution?

Consuming high-alkaline leafy vegetables to support the body’s acid–alkaline balance. Our product, Magic Organic Alkaline Fertiliser, is mixed with water when growing the veg, allowing leafy vegetables to naturally absorb essential alkaline minerals. These alkaline mineral-rich
vegetables, when consumed, act as a functional food to promote overall well-being. Functional food is also called functional medicine.

Research & Approval

In partnership with a university in Ireland, we developed our Magic Organic Alkaline Fertiliser. Studies have shown an average 119% increase in three essential alkaline minerals—calcium, potassium, and magnesium—in lettuce. Our product is fully approved by the Irish Organic Association.

We also conducted a study on tomatoes, which showed no increase in alkalinity. We believe this is because the tomato plant absorbs the alkalinity itself. Therefore, we recommend using our fertiliser only for leafy vegetables and cabbage to achieve the desired increase in alkalinity.
In the Cape Town study below, all types of leafy vegetables were consumed including cabbage.

Does it work?

To date, we have conducted studies with
12 participants in Cape Town, South Africa. Of these, 8 reported benefits after
consuming at least 1 kg of leafy vegetables per week with high alkalinity. Some
participants noticed improvements after one month, while others observed
benefits only after three months.

What benefits?

In the study of 12 participants: one reported improved blood pressure, another saw blood sugar levels return to normal, one noted shoulder pain disappeared, another experienced better gut health, one
slept better with less stress, one reported relief from menopause symptoms, and
two no longer experienced aches and pains. Additionally, three participants
also reported increased energy levels.

How do you feed the veg?

Take 5 ml of the Magic Organic Alkaline Fertiliser and mix it with 1 litre of water. For example, if you are using a 5-liter watering can, you would add 25ml of powder. We provide a 5 ml measuring spoon along with full instructions. Once mixed, simply water your leafy vegetables as you normally would. You may combine this product with any organic NPK fertiliser if desired, but this is not essential. See video below.

How far will 2,000 ml of our Magic Organic Alkaline Fertiliser go?

For one person consuming 1 kg of leafy vegetables per week, 2,000 ml will last approximately three months. You’ll only begin using the fertiliser after germination, once your seedlings are around 20 mm high. Assuming your first crop takes two months to grow, your first 2,000 ml will
cover about one month of actual harvest. After that, however, each subsequent
2,000 ml should provide three months of leafy vegetable consumption (Figures
are approximate and intended as a rough guide).

Permaculture vs growing in pots

In below video, we explore the differences between permaculture and growing in pots. If you are not a home grower, we recommend taking a Grow It Yourself (GIY) course to gain the necessary skills. Please note, we cannot provide guidance on how to grow leafy veg —this is knowledge you will need to have or acquire on your own.
